WHAT TO EXPECT
We are looking for experienced Functional Safety Manager to join our growing team delivering the new charging control system for the next generation of JLR (Jaguar Land Rover) electric vehicles.
In this position, you will take the lead in creating, putting into practice, and overseeing an extensive Functional Safety programme, to ensure compliance to applicable industry regulations and standards, like ISO 26262, you will collaborate closely with the engineering, quality, and regulatory teams. Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
Functional Safety Technical Leadership for the Charging and Battery Management (BMS) team
Work with Functional safety engineers and key stakeholders to ensure Functional Safety deliverables are met.
Provides technical guidance and mentoring team.
Drive the usage of standardised Functional Safety practices and processes.
Take a leading role in developing the Functional Safety community Body of Knowledge and best practices.
Audit of safety products from internal and external elements
Maintain and deliver the Functional Safety Plan
Functional Safety Audit Reports
Manage the Risk Reporting & Mitigation
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
Experience in delivering functioning safety work products for vehicle systems and/or subsystems.
Experience with and application of ISO 26262 or equivalent industry experience (e.g., IEC 61508) within powertrain or power electronics or high-voltage energy storage systems
Expertise in evaluating and auditing Functional Safety work items from suppliers.
Proficiency in electric vehicle (EV) powertrain systems, including battery management and charging.
Familiarity with safety analysis, system, and requirement management tools like TRM (Traceability Requirements Management) and DOORS.
Expertise in overseeing or providing technical direction for intricate projects of varying sizes.
