We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Functional Skills Coach based remote.

As a Functional Skills Coach your role will be varied, but the core focus will always be to support new students to meet their goals and succeed in their apprenticeships. You will achieve this through developing sessions that meet the requirements of the curriculum and Functional Skills standards, to ensure that learners achieve positive results, ensuring students have stretching targets which maintain their motivation and focus on the challenges ahead and to encourage lifelong learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan individual learning to meet learner needs and ensure lesson plans are prepared.
- Achieve company KPI’s and Individual Performance Plan
- To set work for apprentices following your support sessions.
- Create conditions in the training centre(s) which will help to develop the abilities, skill and confidence of each learner.
- Undertaking pastoral duties and supporting learners on an individual basis through academic or personal difficulties.
- Regularly assess learners' work.
- Develop delivery in order to maximise progression opportunities for apprentices.
- Experience of delivering Functional Skills or Maths and English to Level 2
- A Minimum of 2 years teaching experience in 14-19 provision.
- Full Teaching Qualifications I.e. Cert Ed, C&G 7407, CTTLS, DTLLS
- Experience of delivering training or supporting people, who have LDDs including attitude and/or behaviour problems
- Passion & desire to teach
- Willingness to undertake any relevant Teaching Qualifications necessary.
