We are recruiting for Functional Skills Tutor within our established further education provision based at Thorney, near Peterborough.
The tutor will be responsible for ensuring that learners aged 19-25 have an individualised learning pathway which is focused on the continued acquisition of life skills and functional learning, coupled with opportunities for continuing academic achievement.
The tutor will be expected to work in collaboration with the education team to formulate and deliver person centred pathways that cater for the very diverse requirements of our cohort.
Key Responsibilities:
• Planning, preparing and overseeing the delivery and implementation of the Post 19 Learning Curriculum.
• Ensure all students have an individualised learning plan, focused on continued acquisition of life skills and maximising their academic abilities.
• Contribute to the provision of outcome driven evidence as required by external authorities and inspectorates and be accountable to assigned Senior Management within the Kisimul Group.
• Ensure learners are engaged effectively and purposefully in line with individualised accredited learning pathways and monitor the input of supporting staff
• Flexible to work across a number of locations, if and when dictated by relevant circumstances.
