Details of the Role:
As a Skills for Life Tutor, you'll teach courses such as Numeracy, English, and ESOL, contributing to curriculum development and maintaining teaching quality. Reporting to the Centre Manager, your responsibilities in this truly rewarding role will include:
- Planning, delivering, and evaluating courses
- Providing subject specialist support to learners
- Monitoring, marking, and assessing learners' progress
- Maintaining accurate records and administrative documentation
- Ensuring compliance with policies and procedures
- Contributing to marketing and promotions
The Ideal Candidate:
The training provider is looking for someone with qualifications in the subject specialism or substantial experience in the field. Teaching qualifications and experience working with adults (and/or willingness to undergo training) are essential, along with effective communication and interpersonal skills. A commitment to equality, diversity, and health & safety is a must.
Please note: PTTLS would be considered an advantage for an applicant without a formal qualification, but all staff who are not formally qualified in teacher training will be required to undertake at least DTTLS within the first 2 years of appointment.
