Location: Cleckheaton, BD19 3RR

Hours: Full-time Monday to Friday, 9.00am – 5.00pm

The Howarth Foundation (THF) is an award-winning, independent family Charity established in 2017 by the current CEO Andy Howarth. The CEO is supported by a General Manager, Natalie, a Board of Trustees and is governed by the Charities Commission.

THF is excited to expand the team and is looking for a passionate, innovative, self-motivated and commercially aware Fundraiser to join the THF team.

The aim of THF is to support the homeless, the ‘hidden’ homeless, recently re-housed, those at risk of homelessness, fleeing domestic violence, sofa surfing, in unsafe or unsuitable accommodation or those who simply do not have a roof to call their own, into employment, further education or training.

Whilst THF can’t change the world overnight, supporting just one struggling individual from Street2Feet can be lifesaving and the ripple effect is immense, often reuniting families and broken relationships.

For every homeless person on benefits there is a cost to society of around £60-80k per year. Street living is a drain on the NHS, Law Enforcement and Public Services

THF is a self-funding charity and is not commissioned or answerable to any local authority. The role of Fundraiser is pivotal to THF’s structure and will provide stability, supporting the Charity’s ambitions to remain self-sufficient.

The main driver of the Charity is to provide a private sector solution to a public sector problem through its unique Business Building Futures (BBF) initiative. Ultimately, THF recruits local businesses to offer employment, training and work experience opportunities, as well as asking them to make a commitment to run their own fundraising activities on behalf of the Charity. The Fundraiser will work closely with the BBF members to drive activity and revenue through member organised events.

The ROLE:

The successful candidate will work as an integral part of the team and will be responsible for delivering agreed income targets.

Key responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:

  • Build a network and develop relationships within the local business community to secure fundraising support and sponsorship.

  • Desire to work within an ambitious team and a fast-paced environment.

If you want to be part of team that genuinely cares and want to make a difference by changing one life at a time, we’d love to hear from you.
