Fundraising Manager (Newcastle)
Location: Newcastle, office-based 2-3 days per week
Salary: £43,000 pro rata
Hours: Part time0.6 FTE
Contract: Fixed term for two years

Are you looking for your next career-defining fundraising role based in a beautiful, life-saving therapy centre? Do you want to use your fundraising skills to help a charity providing specialised intervention services that truly saves lives?

Charity People are partnering with James’ Place, a charity which provides safe spaces for men during acute mental health crises. Since the Liverpool location opened in 2018, James’ Place have supported over 800 men experiencing suicidal crises. They recently opened another location in London and their newest centre in Newcastle opened this week!

They are looking for a strong relationship fundraiser to join the Newcastle team to develop existing partnerships and build new relationships in Newcastle and the Northeast, to help this fantastic charity to grow their presence and deliver their ambitious £10m appeal.

About the Role

You’ll support the Head of Fundraising and Communications in continuing to build a network of donors and volunteer supporters in Newcastle and the Northeast, as well as maintaining and developing existing relationships. You’ll also manage engagement and fundraising events, and work with clinical and non-fundraising colleagues to develop their experience and confidence in fundraising activities.

About You

You’ll need a track record of income generation in any of the following: major gift fundraising from HNWIs, events, trusts and foundations or corporate partners.

You’ll know what motivates different donors to give, and will be resilient, collaborative, and innovative. Most importantly, you’ll believe in James’ Place’s work, and will be passionate about working with a charity that provides therapeutic intervention that truly saves lives.
