Funds Lawyer

I am working with a global private equity platform that invests in sustainable businesses that are led by purpose-driven entrepreneurs.  They invest in the 3 key themes of people, planet and productivity across Europe, US, Africa, India and Africa.
 
My client has recently received $500m to invest in small scale solar energy projects in Africa, Asia and SE Asia with a view to raising a further $500m to create a $1bn fund.  They are looking for a lawyer with at least 4 years of experience (either England & Wales or European qualified) in Alternative Funds and/or PE.  You will be working primarily on the day to day issues in relation to this new fund right from its initial creation. 
 
The legal team consists of a further 4 lawyers and 1 paralegal however you will be the sole lawyer focused on this fund.  You will have support from the rest of the legal team as well as be involved in other matters for the business as and when necessary.  This is an excellent opportunity to join and be able to not only be involved in, but be the primary contact for, a brand new fund with exposure to legal as well as front office matters.
