Garden Centre Assistant / Warehouse Operative

We are looking for a friendly, polite and experienced Garden Centre Assistant. A strong knowledge of plants is essential and the understanding that you will be working outdoors in all weather conditions. Good customer service is also essential.

Main duties will include:

Plant care, maintenance and watering at regular intervals

Stock replenishment

Dealing with customer queries in a polite and professional manner

Arranging displays and ensuring stock is correctly presented

Ensuring all items are clearly priced

Requirements:

Previous experience in a similar role is essential

Excellent knowledge of plants, flowers, compost etc

Excellent customer service skills

Team player

Health & Safety conscious

Knowledge of EPOS system would be an advantage but not essential as training will be given

Warehouse duties:

• Receiving, storing, and distributing goods and products within a warehouse facility
• Ensuring that all goods that are loaded or unloaded match the relevant paperwork
• Loading and unloading delivery vehicles and containers
• Reporting any damaged or missing goods to Warehouse Managers or Supervisors
• Preparing and completing orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule
• Ensuring cleanliness, tidiness and safety of work environment
• Operating and maintaining warehouse equipment and tools

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Salary: £5.28-£10.42 per hour

Expected hours: 16 per week
