Salary Garden Centre Plant Assistant
Location: Henley-On-Thames
Salary: Minimum 11.00 per hour (Dependent on Experience)
Hours: Full-Time/Part-Time
Our client, a highly reputable family run GARDEN CENTRE, is looking for a passionate and hardworking individual to join their friendly team. After an exceptionally busy year they are now looking for a new member of the team to assist in the plant nursery with an experienced team maintaining and growing thousands of plants to grow / maintain.
Main Responsibilities:
Potting young plantsMoving stockFulfilling orders (picking stock)Taking deliveriesProcessing potting requirementsGeneral nursery housekeeping (sweeping, clearing old stock, tidying etc.)Maintaining plant health (watering, weeding, deadheading etc.)Plant, water, and fertilize flowers, shrubs, and treesMonitor and control pests and diseases that may affect plantsInstall irrigation systems and ensure proper watering of plantsPersonal Specification
Previous experience in a similar role or a solid understanding of gardeningSomeone who is proactive and self-motivatedGood verbal and written communication skillsA flexible approach to ever changing priorities and ability to manage workloadsThis is a physically demanding job, requiring the moving & lifting of heavy/bulky items every day, please give this careful consideration before submitting your application
