Invigorate Recruitment is working with its client a mail order fashion business in Leeds to recruit a Garment Technologist to join the current QC department working on ladieswear.
Purpose of the Ladieswear Garment Technologist role
· To oversee the inspection of goods delivered to the business to ensure fair and consistent standards are applied in line with business priorities.
Main Responsibilities:
· Working on multiple products (specifically Ladieswear)
· To spec, fit and seal styles within the product ranges.
· Collaborating closely with suppliers to ensure tasks are completed in line with critical path dates.
· Check and approve branding/labelling on each style in line with brand definitions.
· Assess and sign off on wash test reports.
· Oversee inspection of deliveries on relevant styles and agree actions on any rectification work required.
· Collection and analysis of returns information
· Understand reasons for returns and take all possible commercial actions to improve performance.
· Work cross functionally with internal departments to ensure smooth running of the day-to-day quality control function.
The Candidate:
· You will hold a degree in a related field and knowledge of pattern cutting and construction.
· Have impeccable time management and communication skills.
· Competent in Word, Excel and Outlook programmes.
· Organised and proactive way of working.
· Enthusiastic about product and product development.

· Strong communication & interpersonal skills.
· Good planning and organisational skills.
· Excellent attention to detail.
· A team player with a positive attitude who is prepared to roll their sleeves up and lead by example.
