Gas and Heating Engineer

Our client is seeking a skilled Gas and Heating Engineer to maintain and repair gas systems in residential properties. The ideal candidate will have an in-depth knowledge of heating systems, along with excellent problem-solving skills and a commitment to excellent customer service.

Please note you must have a full drivers license for this role.

Duties will include but not be limited to:

• Repairs to gas systems in the event of a breakdown or malfunction.
• Boiler Fault Finding, Servicing, Install, leak- trace and access, emergency Plumbing repairs, Basic Plumbing skills.
• Conducting routine safety checks on gas systems to mitigate against the risk of carbon monoxide poisoning.
• Boiler servicing
• Conducting system checks at regular intervals to identify and rectify faults and prevent breakdowns.
• Maintaining accurate records of all work undertaken and detailing any faults or defects in gas systems.
• Undertaking further in-house training or relevant industry courses to maintain up to date knowledge of best practice and legislation.
• You must be able to work flexible hours, evenings, and weekends on a rota basis.

The ideal candidate will have the following:

• 3 years experience with breakdowns and repairs
• Good communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Able to work quickly and accurately under pressure and within tight deadlines.

Required qualifications:

• 2 years Plumbing NVQ level 2, City & Guilds or time spend 10 + years
• CCN1
• CENWAT
• CKR1
• HTR1
• G3 Unvented hot water (preferred)
