Gas Engineer Trainer

We are excited to be recruiting a Gas Engineer Trainer for a full time position based in Uxbridge. Our client is a highly regarded training and assessment provider, renowned for delivering world class training across their state-of-the-art training centres. Person specification:

• Possess confidence and the ability to confidently lead and deliver engaging training sessions in front of a group.
• Maintain a professional demeanor while also being personable when interacting with candidates and staff throughout their role.
• Be approachable and capable of providing support to our customers throughout their course.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver training and assessment to candidates within areas of personal competence, primarily in Commercial Gas, but will be involved in Domestic Gas.
• Provide ongoing support to candidates, track their progress, and maintain communication with employers and colleagues involved in course delivery to ensure timely completion.
• Administer assessments and examinations in accordance with scheme requirements, ensuring timely grading and providing feedback to candidates on their performance.
• Collaborate with the Line Manager to address technical resource needs, course structure, and training materials.
• Work with the Line Manager and Administration team to resolve course scheduling issues.
• Maintain organised and confidential records of candidate assessment paperwork.
• Supervise examinations and handle questions during assessments.
• Continuously update and expand personal skills and knowledge to broaden the scope of training and assessment capabilities.
• Perform internal verification of assessment paperwork after obtaining the Internal Verifier V1 Award.
• Prepare and maintain training and assessment areas, ensuring their safety and security.
• Attend regular team meetings and fulfill all assigned action points.

Experience and Skills:

• Must have an Accredited Certification Scheme (ACS) certificates
• Experience in commercial or domestic gas industry with previous roles as a Gas Engineer
• Hold a Teaching qualification such as AET, PTLLS, CTLLS, Cert Ed or equivalent (desired)
• Hold an Assessor Award such as A1, CAVA, TAQA or equivalent (desired)
• An IQA Award such as V1, IQA, D34 (desired)
• Scopes in Catering, ESP and LPG are desirable
