AddressDue to further contract wins and exciting growth within Smart Choice Metering, we are back again in the hunt for the next set of exciting and hungry Gas Engineers in the south of the UK for our Gas Engineer ToDual Fuel Smart Meter UpskillProgramme , where you will achieve a Level 2 Diploma in Smart Metering (Dual Fuel).
The training will take place in our Training Academy based in Manchester and will require you to attend for a total of 3 weeks. You will then spend 3 weeks out in the field being mentored by our team of fully qualified engineers, who will show you how to put the theory you learned and putting this into practice, providing the guidance, support, and practical knowledge to help you work towards your qualification.
Here’s what else we offer alongside the training;

- Basic starting training salary of £33,000, this increases after training and probation to £36,000, plus generous bonus and incentive schemes giving a realistic £48,000 OTE
- Accommodation provided for the duration of training in our academy
- Daily meal allowance for the duration of training
- Company van, tools, PPE, fuel card, mobile phone and tablet provided upon completion of the academy-based training.
What we need from you:
- Full valid driving license
- CCN1, CMA1 or CMA3
- Sound knowledge of gas safety and procedures.
- Availability to join the training programme in August.
- Availability to be based Sunday to Friday each week in Manchester to attend the classroom-based training.
- A willingness to learn and enthusiasm to develop.
