Join our passionate Energy Operations team, where you'll witness our unwavering commitment to sustaining energy flow for millions. From day one, get specialised training, mastering the art of safe and reliable gas flow. This apprenticeship isn't just about learning; it's your chance to make a silent impact on millions. Join us in shaping a future where your dedication ensures seamless energy flow for all. Apply now for an apprenticeship that promises more than learning.
What to Expect…
Embark on an exhilarating 3-year apprenticeship that goes beyond traditional classrooms. Immerse yourself in a dynamic, hands-on learning environment, dedicating a remarkable 80% of your time to practical training in the field alongside our seasoned engineers. This transformative journey promises an exciting blend of experiences as you acquire a versatile skill set, ranging from routine maintenance to advanced fault finding, and master the art of rectifying diverse assets within our cutting-edge networks. As our apprentice, you'll delve into the intricacies of operating and maintaining mechanical valves, conducting routine maintenance, and troubleshooting faults on a myriad of assets crucial to our networks. Your immersive, hands-on exposure will span gas pressure control equipment, valves, gas conditioning, and various mechanical systems, allowing you to make a substantial impact on communities while refining your expertise in the dynamic energy sector. Elevate your learning experience and shape your future in a way that resonates beyond the ordinary.
The remaining 20% will immerse you in our cutting-edge training centres in the Northwest and Birmingham. Here, you'll join forces with fellow apprentices, guided by our exceptional trainers—the cream of the crop with years of field experience who have now dedicated themselves to shaping the next generation. During your apprenticeship, you will have 1-week block training weeks over the two years, focusing on intensive training during the initial 6 months. Upon joining, you'll receive a comprehensive training plan with dates when you will be away - worry not though—full accommodation, travel reimbursement, and meal allowance will be provided if you find yourself away from home.
Upon successful qualification and completion of the apprenticeship, we guarantee you a secure role within our team! Equipped with full proficiency and confidence, you'll be adept at working independently, with readily available support if required. Your role will play a pivotal part in ensuring the uninterrupted flow of gas to our customers, focusing on the maintenance and repair of faults within our network. Join us in a fulfilling career where your expertise contributes directly to our essential services.
