SalaryCpl Healthcare is seeking expressions of interest/CV applications for the post of Gastroenterologist & General Physicianin a teaching Hospital in the West of Ireland.
This is a 6 month specified purpose whole-time vacancy where the successful candidate will be part of a large multidisciplinary team, delivering this essential service. There is a requirement to participate in an on-call rota. The successful candidate will be required to meet the objectives of delivering high quality Consultant led Services and to manage and lead a multi-disciplinary team in the delivery of a comprehensive medical service.
To be considered eligible you must :
- Be registered in or be in the process of registering with the Irish Medical Council.
- Registration as a specialist in the Specialist Division of the Register of Medical Practitioners maintained by the Medical Council in Ireland in the specialties of gastroenterology and general (internal) medicine.
- Demonstrate appropriate experience and ability in providing Gastroenterology and General (internal) Medicine related services at a Consultant level
- Demonstrate evidence of effective planning and organising skills including awareness of resource management and importance of value for money
- Ability to liaise with service providers on a local and regional basis.
- Ability and experience to participate in teaching, audit and research.
- Demonstrate effective communication skills
- Demonstrate awareness and appreciation of the service users
- Demonstrate leadership and team management skills
- Display evidence based clinical knowledge in making decisions regarding client care
- Ideally have Irish or UK experience
- Have excellent English skills
- Eligible to work in Ireland
