Job Description Summary
Lloyds Banking Group is the UK’s largest Digital, Retail and Commercial Bank with a focus on Helping Britain Prosper. We’re on the mission to build the bank of the future, and we need your help to do it!
Continuing our extensive transformation programme, we're redefining what a bank is from the inside out. Our technology, our culture, and our mind-set is changing to craft a true engineering-led organisation in which technology and data are key pillars of our transformation strategy.
Want to be part of our journey as a Bank to redefine our technology platforms? Passionate about the power to be unleashed when combining next generation cloud technology with customer data and insight? Want to join a diverse and ambitious team that is building the Bank of the future? If the answer to these questions is yes, we would love to hear from you...
Job Description
We are looking to evolve our Data Analytics and AI capability, where we enhance the platform offering to enable the exploitation of data and analytics in the public cloud. This will mean leveraging Google Cloud Platform capabilities, products and services but also involve operating across our multi-cloud environments to ensure the entire breadth of our data user community are being served.
Specifically, we’re looking for people who have....
  • recent practical experience working with a broad set of Google Cloud products & services, including using the Google SDK
  • a firm understanding of Cloud Security
  • certified in GCP, with Associate Cloud Engineer or Professional Data Engineer certification
  • comfortable with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and CI/CD using both Jenkins and GitHub Actions
  • expertise in data, analytics and machine learning with a view of the broader AI landscape
  • an active interest in new technologies with an awareness of developments and trends within the data and AI space

Our focus is to ensure we're inclusive every day, building an organisation that reflects modern society and celebrates diversity in all its forms.
We want our people to feel that they belong and can be their best, regardless of background, identity or culture. We were one of the first major organisations to set goals on diversity in senior roles, create a menopause health package, and a dedicated Working with Cancer initiative. And it’s why we especially welcome applications from under-represented groups. We’re disability confident. So if you’d like reasonable adjustments to be made to our recruitment processes, just let us know.
We also offer a wide -ranging benefits package, which includes:
  • A generous pension contribution of up to 15%
  • An annual performance-related bonus
  • Share schemes including free shares
  • Benefits you can adapt to your lifestyle, such as discounted shopping
  • 30 days’ holiday, with bank holidays on top
  • A range of wellbeing initiatives and generous parental leave policies

If you’re excited by the thought of becoming part of our team, get in touch. We’d love to hear from you.
Ready for a career where you can have a positive impact as you learn, grow and thrive? Apply today and find out more.

With us you'll have a key role to play in shaping the financial services of the future, whilst the scale and reach of our Group means you'll have many opportunities to learn, grow and develop.
We keep your data safe. So, we'll only ever ask you to provide confidential or sensitive information once you have formally been invited along to an interview or accepted a verbal offer to join us which is when we run our background checks. We'll always explain what we need and why, with any request coming from a trusted Lloyds Banking Group person.
