General Catering assistant (stores/potwash) (E2666) - The Grammar School at Leeds

Part-Time Position: 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 08:30-15:00. Term-time only, plus 5 INSET days. 

Salary: Point 6 (£21,589 FTE), actual salary for 30 hours, term time only: £15, 956.11 per annum (£11.19 per hour)

In this job, you'll help us run the dining rooms smoothly, serving meals and keeping things clean. You will also assist in receiving deliveries and follow correct stock rotation and storage of items. We want you to create a friendly atmosphere during mealtimes, so students and colleagues feel welcome. It's important to look tidy, follow safety rules, and be flexible and reliable in the team. 

The catering team is made up of 28 colleagues who are supported by the Catering and Commercial Manager. The school provides a high quality and extensive range of catering services including a daily breakfast, lunch and after-school service for pupils and colleagues. The successful candidate will be expected to play a full part in the running of this dedicated catering department. You will be joining a fun and friendly team with a supportive manager. 

Catering staff need to be available to work some ad-hoc days during the school holiday periods to assist with events. In return, catering colleagues receive a retainer payment during this period which is included in the salary.
