General Duties Operative

As our Maintenance Team in Operations within the Industrial Gases in the UK and Ireland continues to grow, we would like to welcome aGeneral Duties Operative.
About the Team
You will be joining the maintenance team of 20 plus field engineers working across UK and Ireland. This role will be based 50% in Ellesmere Port and 50% field based.

• Ensure that Ellesmere Port preventative maintenance is completed monthly.
• Carry out routine house-keeping and preventative maintenance activities as defined by the GD work duties schedule in a timely manner.
• In the UK and Ireland support corrective maintenance work associated with plant and equipment failures (planned and breakdowns).
• Work with the Mechanical Maintenance team to ensure correct spares parts and consumables inventory management and be support labour as and when required.
• The completion of assigned normal monthly preventative maintenance.
• Managing the site housekeeping
• Manage Tool Container Inventory.
• Forklift/Telehandler/Truck driver (as required for all facilities).
• Support the UKIMD on planned shutdowns and emergency breakdowns.

• G.C.S.E Math, English and Science or equivalent experience in a similar position
• Driver’s licence
• Passport
• Forklift/Telehandler licence
• Good interpersonal & team working skills.
• Able to work remotely and able to travel frequently.
• Self-motivated independent worker.
• Able to work at pace under pressure.
• Experience working on industrial sites.
• Industrial/Plant maintenance experience.
