The position will suit someone very commercially minded with a catering/rooms/business development background, because all of these skills will be needed. Primarily we need an experienced manager able to identify and maximise new revenue streams, work with the existing team to develop their skills, get involved in the wider community and be proud to be working for a unique operation.
You will be responsible for the operational, financial and people performance. For implementing robust systems, procedures, control measure and relevant legislation alongside introducing new revenue streams and maximising what the current business offers.

As the General Manager you will:
- Oversee all day to day operations - catering, rooms, maintenance, duty managers
- Recruit, train, develop, lead and coach the team
- Have a lot of autonomy to make the role your own and manage your own time
- Manage the P & L, labour, rotas and all costs and budgets
- Implement robust systems & procedures
- Be involved in strategy, business development and new sales initiatives
- Identify and maximise new revenue streams
- Ensure the delivery of exceptional customer service
- Work to company targets and KPIs'
Attributes - General Manager
- Experience in catering/hospitality/rooms so you might have a hotel or catering management background
- Strong financial & commercial acumen - P & L accountability
- An understanding of what works and a willingness to try out new ideas to drive sales
- Excellent communication, organisation and people-management skills
- An intrinsic understanding of legislation & compliance
- The ability to motivate and enthuse people and teams to deliver results
- Strong leadership, coaching, performance management and people development skills
- A positive and outgoing personality and outlook
- IT literate - working with systems & process
