Position Summary: They are seeking a skilled and dynamic General Litigator to join their legal team. The successful candidate will have a broad range of litigation experience and the ability to handle various cases across different practice areas, contributing to the overall success and growth of the firm. Responsibilities: Case Management: Handle a diverse caseload encompassing civil and criminal litigation matters. Conduct legal research and analysis to develop effective case strategies. Draft legal documents, pleadings, and correspondence. Client Representation: Provide high-quality legal representation to clients in court proceedings. Advise clients on legal matters, potential outcomes, and strategies. Maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and responsiveness. Negotiation and Dispute Resolution: Negotiate settlements and resolutions on behalf of clients. Explore alternative dispute resolution methods, such as mediation or arbitration. Work towards achieving the best possible outcomes for clients. Court Appearances: Represent clients in various courts, including magistrate courts, county courts, and high courts. Prepare and present legal arguments in court hearings and trials. Attend case management conferences and pre-trial hearings. Legal Research and Analysis: Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations affecting litigation. Conduct legal research to support case strategies and arguments. Collaborate with colleagues to share knowledge and insights. Requirements Qualified solicitor with a strong background in general litigation. Proven experience handling a diverse caseload. Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills. Strong advocacy skills and experience representing clients in court. Effective communication and negotiation skills.
