Rate - £18.19ph PAYE
Contract - 12 Months

My client is seeking a Bench Hand to dress components using both manual and driven tools. Conform to drawing requirements and work to relevant documents, inspecting and validating the components as processed. Activities will also include inspection and first-line maintenance.
General Requirements & Accountabilities:
- Dress components using both manual and driven tools.
- Carry functional product testing using various automated and manual testing equipment.
- To assemble products using various press tools, manual tools and equipment.
- Build and assemble parts to the work instructions.
- To understand the function of key features of the components functionality so they can be dressed accordingly.
- To be able to select the correct tool for the feature to be produced.
- To use inspection equipment to verify the products conformity.
- Where necessary, to use internal inspection viewing equipment to verify the products conformity
Technical Requirements:
- Apprentice engineering
- An engineering apprenticeship is desirable, although training will be given.
- 1 year's similar experience in an engineering manufacturing facility.
- Ability to read and interpret Engineering drawings.
- Ability to operate various inspection and test equipment.
- Good computer skills are desirable, as is a knowledge of the computer systems used (SAP, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Q-Pulse etc).
- Demonstrable ability to work with minimum supervision.
- Good oral and written communication skills are required.
- Can use measuring equipment, (Vernier, Micrometer, Go/No GO, Shadow graph, CMM, etc.)
- Interpret drawings.
