We are currently seeking a General Operative to join our team at Sandy Bay, Lisburn.
As a General Operative you will be primarily responsible for the safe and efficient discharge of sand barges into land plant – assist with other land-based plant duties
More about what you will do…
- To comply with all Company Health, Safety and Environmental procedures and policies
- To operate and monitor equipment in a safe and efficient manner
- To perform or assist with preventative maintenance and pre-shift inspections, repair and/ or clean equipment as required
- Operate and control discharge equipment from barges to land plant, at required times
- Monitor sand production plant and barge discharge functions and report relevant information to site manager
- To support the housekeeping of plant, equipment and site
- To comprehend and complete paperwork associated with this role in a timely and accurate manner
What we need from you…
- Previous knowledge and experience of working with plant and equipment in a construction environment
- Ability to work in a team
- Ability to work flexibly to meet business needs – to include early, late and weekend shifts
- Ability to multi-task
- Ability to operate mobile plant / carded (desirable)
- Knowledge and / or experience of sand dredging and processing plant (desirable)
- Mechanical, hands on background (desirable)
