General Parks Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Ipswich Park’s Team as the General Parks Manager.
Ipswich is proud of its variety of parks and open space, which includes two English Heritage listed sites, 50 Amenity Green Spaces and 94 play areas. With three retained Green Flag Awards with ambition to achieve more.
This role will be responsible for not only delivering a wide range of grounds maintenance services, including hard and soft landscaping and manage the parks protection team, whilst collaborating with other operational areas within the Council.
You will need to have a good level of experience and skill in practically managing public open spaces, leading and motivating teams, engaging with stakeholders, managing budgets, Health & Safety knowledge, external fund raising and project management.
A current valid UK driving license is required for this position.
