SalarySalaried Practice Nurse for GP Surgery in Ipswich – Part-time or Full-time hours available
You will be working at a large medical practice on the outskirt of Ipswich town centre. The practice has appox 30,000 patients.
The practice has a large team to support you – GP partners. Salaried GPs, GP registrars, ANPs, Nurse Associates, Healthcare assistants, Care Co-ordinators, management and administrative team.
Structure:
· The GP surgery is open 8:00 to 18:30
o For a full-time Practice Nurse, you could do 4 longer days or 5 shorter days
Computer System: SystemOne
Responsibilities:
· Provide direct care to patients without referral via senior nurse or doctor
· Undertake general nursing duties, such as:
o Immunisations Adult, Childhood and Baby
o Cervical smears
o Contraception advice and pill checks
o Dressings / Treatment Room care
o Knowledge and capabilities to manage Chronic disease and Long-Term Conditions
o To work to practice protocols and guidelines
o Provide general and specific nursing care in a Primary Care setting.
o Provide health assessment and screening to the practice populationwithinagreed protocols
o Provide health promotion to the practice population.
o Advise and treat patients with minor ailments.
o Provide nursing treatments to patients working to agreed protocols.
