HMP Bure, is a Category C men's prison, located in the parish of Scottow in Norfolk, England
Our General Practitioners are extremely valued and are well respected members of the Prison Healthcare community. We deliver first class healthcare to a diverse group of patients and therefore as a General Practitioner at Practice Plus Group you get the opportunity to further develop your knowledge in areas you wouldn’t usually experience within a practice, or even A&E environment.
As a member of the Multi-Disciplinary Team, you will provide clinical assessment and diagnosis to patient’s requirements and make timely decisions regarding future management. You will also provide a highly specialist resource to other members of the healthcare team at site, as well as the patients you work with having active involvement in clinical governance and effectiveness activities.

To be successful in this role you will have:
- GMC Registered
- Qualified GP
- A non-judgmental and compassionate approach
- Excellent communication skills
- Good IT skills and IT literacy
- Ability to work within a busy environment
- Ability to work unsupervised whilst following policy and procedures
Although not essential ideal applicants would have experience in a prison environment
