KS2 General Teaching Assistant

8.30am until 3.30pm and extra after school club hours until 6pm, term time only

£14 - £15 per hour

Remedy Education are currently supporting a lovely Primary School based in Lewisham who are recruiting for a KS2 Teaching Assistant to support a class of 30. This would suit a graduate or experienced Teaching Assistant. They are seeking a strong, confident, and engaging graduate who is passionate about education. You will be taken on as a Teaching Assistant- supporting pupils in the classroom, carefully guiding and helping them to make good progress in key areas. Being flexible and willing to take on all challenges is a must, as you will be supporting key stage 2 pupils in small groups, or on a one-to-one level. This is a strong and supportive school that is passionate about developing young teaching talent. You will be supported, guided and given a fantastic opportunity to work with pupils who are genuinely excited about learning and making excellent progress.

Main Duties

• Be responsible for assisting with a group of children, ensuring their personal and development needs are met.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures at all times
• Work with the KS2 lead
• The ability to interact with children to impact on their teaching and learning.
• Attend INSET and Full staff meetings when required.
• Undertake any other professional duties that may be reasonably assigned

Requirements:

• GCSE English & Mathematics or equivalent at grade A-C
• Experience working with young children and/or Aspiring Teacher
• Excellent communication skills to deal with both colleagues and parents
• A passion for supporting children in education, be energetic, enthusiastic and motivated
