Duties as a General Worker will include any of the following:
- Candidates should have extensive experience as a General Worker/Operative within a Petro-Chem/ Piping Fabrication/Oil and Gas environment.
- Assist tradesmen of all disciplines including mechanical, piping & electrical.
- Ability to work un-supervised.
- Load, unload, identify materials, machinery, and tools, and distribute them to the appropriate locations, according to project plans.
- Abiltiy to use overhead cranes, once training as been given (Pendant trained).
- Basic slinger and rigging for basic lifts
- Assist when required with the General Consumables and Welding stores and prepare consumables requisition and issue consumables when required
- Complete daily work assignments in a timely and accurate manner.
- Maintain a tidy workplace & work in-line with company procedures and safety standards
- Experience with Counterbalance & Side-loader forklifts and have therelevant certification for the plant being operated.
Qualifications/Experience:
- Qualifications to use forklift trucks such as FLT & Counterbalance certification for plant being operated.
- Overhead Crane pendant operator Cert.
- First Aid Cert.
- Adhesive wheels trained & Cert.
- Manual Handling Awarness.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a busy workshop environment
