About Us
The first Citizens Advice opened in Salford in September 1939, established in the aftermath of the first world war and provided, amongst other initiatives, a casework service for families in need. Since then, we have continued to grow as a frontline service, finding innovative solutions to the advice needs of our community through free, confidential and independent advice and information services.
Every year we help up to 20,000 people in Salford, we are proud of that achievement and know it is only possible because of the huge levels of commitment shown by our staff and volunteers. We know there is still more we can do for our communities and have big ambitions to develop our service, both in terms of the scope of our work and ways we deliver our advice.
The Role
We are looking for someone to join our team to provide generalist advice to clients in person, by phone and email. You should be an experienced Generalist Adviser who enjoys working in a hybrid environment who would like to join an experienced and supportive team.
You will have a thorough understanding of the issues involved in interviewing and working with clients, and in particular vulnerable people, with excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with clients and our partners.
This is a genuine opportunity to join an existing passionate and dedicated high-performing team of advisers, caseworkers and project workers to help people in Salford with the problems they face, particularly with enquiries around welfare benefits, housing and employment.
