Are you an experienced educator looking for a new challenge? Have you ever considered working within Prison Education?

Weston College is the regional education provider for the Prison Education Framework (PEF) contract across the South West of England and we are expanding our team.

We are currently expanding our team to include a Generalist Lecturers who will work in the South West Region, across a small designated cluster of prisons.

This is a fantastic opportunity to make a positive difference to learners lives through teaching across several sites, each of which will have a unique identity.

As a Generalist Lecturer, you will regularly deliver English and Maths courses, and may be asked to deliver other subjects as required.

Within the South West Region, we are the education provider in 9 prisons, and we currently have vacancies for the following two clusters:

  • Bristol Cluster: HMP Bristol, HMP Leyhill and HMP Eastwood Park.
  • Dorset Cluster: HMP The Verne, HMP Portland and HMP Guys Marsh.

The successful candidate will report to the Lot Manager for their specific cluster of prisons, but will work in partnership with the Curriculum Manager and Assistant Curriculum Manager at each prison to ensure that they are delivering a high quality curriculum.

The post-holder will have one prison which is designated as their base location, and this will be determined prior to commencement in the role.

As this is a regional role, you will need to hold a full driving licence and have access to your own vehicle.
