This company provides specialist fibre-powered data-gathering solutions for engineering companies across a range of industries. They are market leaders within these solutions and are ever-developing new products to take to market. Due to expansion through their loyal client base, they are looking for a senior Geophysicist to bring into their team.
In this role, you'll be responsible for the development of the client's seismic survey offerings and software, including distributed acoustic sensing, geophysical processing and analysis techniques. Contributing to the ongoing development of products in the market areas of alternative energy solutions (e.g. carbon capture & geothermal energy) is a crucial part of the role.
The ideal candidate will come from a research background where they have acquired good hands on experience with software technologies such as MATLAB, Python, C, or Fortran.

The Role:
* Project management in the geothermal, volcanology, and carbon capture storage market areas, ensuring project documents are complete
* Planning and performing DAS measurements, deployments, and data analysis
*Adhering to the company's and client's HSE requirements and local legislation at all times
The Person:
*Experienced in using MATLAB, Python, C or Fortran
*Ph.D. in geophysics or geotechnical applications or equivalent experience
*Understanding of signal processing techniques (applied to acoustics, image processing, seismic datasets)
