Geotechnical Design Engineer

Geotechnical Design Engineer - York - £negotiable

My client is a well-established multi-disciplinary practise with offices situated across the whole of the UK carrying a staff of over 500. As result of a growing workload and plans for further expansion, this client are looking for Senior Geo-Environmental Engineers to join their team and carry on the good work at their York branch.

You will be joining a friendly and dynamic team to work on a wide range of projects including rail, residential, commercial and industrial. The successful candidate will be joining an extremely successful specialist practise with an excellent reputation and plans for further growth.

Key responsibilities include:

• Completing both field and office based projects to a high standard
• Develop solutions for earthwork design, slope stability, foundation design, sheet piles, pile design, soil nailing, ground anchors, gravity and embedded retaining wall design
• liaising with Regulators and Local Authorities
• Dealing with clients to withstand and develop good working relationships

Needed qualifications and experience:

• Relevant in degree e.g. Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering
• Working towards chartership
• Experience from a range of sectors including: rail, residential, industrial and commercial
• Ability to work as a team player with good communication skills
• Excellent report writing skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
