Geotechnical Engineer - Long-term Contract - Competitive Rates

A new role has opened within Central Government. This is a role for someone with extensive experience as a Geotechnical Engineer with proven IWA and COSS competencies and earthworks inspection experience.

This is a 6 month contract working directly for a well-funded Government Department. The role is primarily location-based and some flexibility is required, depending on business needs. You'll be working on a major construction project working directly for a well-funded Government Departments.

The ideal candidate will have a Degree in Civil Engineering, Geology or an equivalent relevant subject.

Responsibilities:
* Undertake evaluation, assessment and risk management of Geotechnical assets
* Assess and implement control measures
* Direct the implementation of monitoring systems
* Support the development of delivery plans and asset strategies

Requirement:
* HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering, Geology or an equivalent relevant subject
* Working towards membership of a relevant professional institution
* Experience of asset examination and assessment
* Understanding of safety management systems and risk assessment techniques
* Valid UK driving licence
