I am seeking a German Teacher for a sickness cover for a Woking Secondary School. ASAP start ongoing.

As a German Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in fostering students' love for the German language, promoting cultural exchange, and helping them become proficient communicators in German.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging German lessons that cater to the needs and abilities of students, using a variety of teaching strategies and resources.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where students feel motivated to develop their language skills, cultural knowledge, and intercultural competence.
- Teach German grammar, vocabulary, reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills through interactive activities, discussions, and authentic materials.
- Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and guide their development towards achieving language proficiency benchmarks.
- Incorporate technology and multimedia resources to enhance language learning experiences and promote digital literacy in German.
- Organize and facilitate cultural activities, such as language immersion events, German film screenings, or exchange programs, to enrich students' cultural understanding.
- Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the development of the German curriculum, schemes of work, and assessment practices.
- Engage with parents, students, and other stakeholders to communicate student progress, achievements, and extracurricular opportunities related to German language and culture.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree in German or a related field.
- Proven experience as a German teacher in a secondary school, with a strong track record of student achievement and engagement.
- Thorough knowledge of the national curriculum requirements for German and familiarity with examination board specifications.
- Native-level proficiency in German and fluency in English, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for teaching German and inspiring students to develop language skills and cultural awareness.
- Strong understanding of language teaching methodologies, assessment practices, and the use of technology in language learning.
- Ability to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that values diversity and promotes cultural exchange.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage resources effectively to enhance teaching and learning.
