My client are an engineering and manufacturing heavyweight. Based in 10+ countries across Europe, the Americas, and APAC, and with over workforce exceeding 15,000 they amass more than £Billion annual revenue. They are now seeking an established procurement professional to spearhead their global energy sector towards best-in-class.

You will ideally work from their prestigious headquarters based in the West Midlands for 1-2 days a week (or as many as you prefer). As Commodity Procurement Manager, you will develop innovative regional/global category strategies to improve and streamline their procurement processes to meet and grow customer demand. To achieve this, you will:

• Revolutionize their renewable energy approach with cutting-edge procurement strategies tailored for your global plants, collaborating closely with stakeholders to ensure seamless alignment with your vision.
• Unlock opportunities for expansion and optimization across all plants worldwide.
• Uncover substantial cost-saving prospects throughout your operations and Technology Centres.
• Take charge of negotiations and tenders with both new and existing suppliers to drive maximum commercial advantage, elevating the business to new heights.

Required Experience:

• Strong proficiency in Energy/Energy Consultancy/Utility sectors at regional or Global Commodity manager level.
• Proven expertise in energy project finance, power trading, and energy procurement (including Virtual and regular Power Purchase Agreements).
• A demonstrable ability to develop and maintain relationship with stakeholders and those at executive level.
• Familiarity with the global wholesale power markets, understanding the drivers of energy hedging strategy.

Procurement candidates must have full rights to work in the UK and be 100% business fluent in English. Fluency or proficiency in other EU languages is desirable, but not essential.
