Job description:
IT Project Manager will manage product launches on existing e-comm sites as well as carry out market/domain activations; the activation of new e-comm domain sites for a market, along with a product launch. They will act as the main point of contact for the market, working closely to ensure the product/market activation goes smoothly. The IT Project Manager will run the project from the pre-project kick-off with market phase all the way to the end of hypercare and hand over to the BAU team, they should ensure each project phase progressing according to the schedule and that the relevant exit criteria will be met for the milestone (Gate) at the end of the Phase. They are overall accountable for ensuring each phase is concluded on time and meets the relevant exit criteria of the milestone (gate) in the WoW document and the project launches on time successfully!

Activities include:

  • Design downstream project plan
  • Review and update the overall planning (including any freeze periods due to the project itself OR IT Central Initiatives e.g. technical upgrades) to ensure each phase is on track with required exit criteria to meet the upcoming milestones.
  • Manage, track and follow up all market input tasks with market
  • Review and validate project scope (scoping kit) with relevant IT stakeholders, requesting clarity from the market if necessary
  • Manage and oversee all technical and IT integrations/configuration from various delivery teams
  • Track and manage the status of the configuration tasks
  • Liaise with QA team to ensure on time start of internal testing based on configuration readiness
  • Review Scope of UVT with market and obtain sign off prior to UVT kickoff
  • Create all test plans/test cases in JIRA for the UVT and smoke testing phase (using existing test plans used in other projects as a basis)
  • JIRA Dashboard creation for tracking Configuration, UVT and smoke testing progress
  • Prepare UVT kickoff deck and present to market scope, timelines, ways of working
  • Run daily UVT calls reviewing TC progress, bugs - escalate any business related issues to Market Success lead
  • Feed into the high level cutover plan with IT internally before sharing with the market, including strategy (blue/green, or Maintenance page only), smoke test timing, and go live timing.
  • Follow-up with relevant parties any IT related open points on the project and ensure a satisfactory response is given to the market
  • Co-ordinate launch day activities between IT and market and configurator teams
  • Provide weekly status updates as required to stakeholders
  • Prepare and Communicate Hypercare approach with market
  • Maintain all relevant project documentation in line with R&C / Audit requirements
  • Facilitate daily hypercare status calls reviewing open bugs, and fixes - as well as tracking and closing hypercare according to the exit criteria
  • Manage E2E their squads from the configuration phase to the hypercare closure
  • Promptly escalate any change requests (scope or timing) to program management, including any missed project milestones (gates)
  • Support Web Leads with project governance, design and optimize cross-departmental ways of working
  • Risk logging, tracking and escalation management within central team as well as helping to come up with mitigation actions to avoid gate/milestone failure
  • Collect and share relevant project information to support Web Leads on a regular basis, including escalations related to inputs coordinated by different central business teams
  • Support central business teams on ensuring global initiatives are deployed with excellence
  • Facilitate effective communication networks across all project stakeholders to align and manage the flow of information
  • Maintaining reporting for management with complete visibility on the status of current launches and product portfolio per market
  • Share information within the different WebOps teams and represent them in alignment meetings
  • Coordinate, mobilize and synchronize all the stakeholders involved to ensure the proper delivery of the commercial plan


Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in managing multiple website e-Commerce projects, including product launches, market/domain activations and system migrations. The preference is for Global organisations with omnichannel structure and diverse multicultural enviroments.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in planning, implementing and managing multiple global stakeholder communication plans with various complexities in governance and levels of maturity.
  • Proven record of managing complex global communication workstreams
  • A fully self sufficient, self-starter with a pro-active can-do attitude and an inquisitive mind who enjoys problem solving and a dynamic work environment.
  • Enjoys building strong and sustainable relationships
  • Strong technical project and time management skills with a keen eye for detail
  • Project Management certification mandatory
  • Knowledge of Agile and Waterfall methodologies essential
  • JIRA knowledge essential
  • Strong communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Collaborative by nature: a team player who is experienced in developing and engaging
