Global Process Owner - Record to Report

  • Are you a qualified accountant?

If so, we have a great role as a Global Process Owner, in our exciting Group Finance team, located in our new state of art Assembly building in the heart of Bristol, or our landmark London One Braham building. 

The record-to-report process is a key part of delivering our financial commitments in a timely and reliable way and we are always looking for ways to improve and streamline the way we work.

This role is crucial for ensuring effective ongoing management, continuous improvement, and control within the record-to-report process.

This includes recommending objectives and target state KPIs, identifying and prioritising opportunities for improvement, and managing risks.

You'll have the following responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively across Business Units to drive financial process transformation projects. Finding efficiencies, analysing and prioritising problems, and then designing and delivering effective and efficient end to end processes.
  • Collaborate closely with operational Process Owners to identify, prioritise, and support the implementation of measurable process improvements and policies that contribute to the realisation of our state-of-the-art SAP implementation.
  • Define the performance metrics which underpin the performance of financial processes.
  • Provide root cause analysis of any process failures and implement continuous improvement actions to eliminate issues identified.

You'll have the following skills & experience

  • Qualifications: Holds a professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, or ACA) with previous experience in formal process improvement methodologies.
  • Matrix Working: Comfortable working in a large organisation with activities managed within a matrix structure. Proficient in collaborative work and effective time management to meet deliverables.
  • Communication: Adept at translating complex business and technical processes into easily understandable documents and presentations. Skilled in tailoring messages to suit the audience, distilling key points while retaining appropriate detail.
  • Technical Mindset: Capable of comprehending and explaining complex IT systems.
  • Analytical Mindset: Proficient in cutting through large amounts of information to extract key messages and themes, identify issues and root causes, to diagnose and solve problems.
  • Ability to Challenge: Demonstrates bold and assured thinking, willing to question the status quo when appropriate.
  • Pragmatism: Able to handle ambiguity, identify resources for implementation, and deliver pragmatic solutions.
