Come and join us as a customer focused and results driven Global Sourcing Specialist on a 12 Month FTC and be part of a hugely successful and friendly team.
The Role:
As a Global Sourcing Specialist, you'll join an established Commercial function.  The Global Sourcing Specialist will play a key role in driving higher participation and deeper, broader own-brand ranges for Plumbing, Heating, Bathrooms and Energy Efficiency arenas.  As a Global Sourcing Specialist, you will optimise the existing Global Sourcing process in establishing new and existing partnerships with offshore/ nearshore suppliers, developing quality, performance and compliance standards whilst ensuring smooth supply. Setting up new suppliers and products in key to the successes of this role.  Please note this role is offered a 12 Month FTC basis
Key Responsibilities
Lead the own brand direct sourcing initiatives and build a pipeline of activities/ opportunities.
Develop RFI, RFP, and RFQ documents in collaboration with category, market requirements and Quality, that align with project requirements and specifications.
Analyse and evaluate vendor quotes and proposals.
Conduct critical evaluations based on the supplier onboarding process 
Prepare comprehensive vendor recommendations for decision-making, including management approval documentation and ensuring fully compliant procurement selection processes and documentation.
Deliver all own brand projects ensuring COG’s reductions, improved margin benefit and availability for each project 
Assess risks and implement mitigation plans related to supply chains including geopolitical, economic, and environmental factors.
Develop and identify contingency plans to manage supply chain risk such as dual-sourcing opportunities.
Manage all RFQs through the commercial process, from providing data and completing all new supplier and product setups to goods delivered into a CPS hub for resale.
Partnership with the HOC’s on Global Sourcing with category planning, range reviews, terms negotiations, tendering, cost price management, key contract renewals, cash flow initiatives etc
Continuous Improvement: always be seeking ways to streamline, automate, and simplify processes. 
Support overseas travel and factory visits with the Senior leadership team
This is a hybrid-based role with travel into our head office based in Crick, Northamptonshire.

Skills and competencies
Procurement or commercial experience in relevant industry sector (Retail, Plumbing, Heating & Bathrooms).
Experience working with Profit & Loss (P&L) concepts and identifying and delivering profit enhancement opportunities
Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyse complex data and make informed recommendations.
Excellent communication and Strong negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
Strong understanding of supply chain principles, processes, and best practices.
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, generate insights, and drive informed decision-making.
Proactive attitude with a focus on problem-solving and continuous improvement.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
