One of the UK's premier Facilities Management (FM) providers are now looking for a Zero Waste Advisor to join a global account with a prestigious corporate banking client. 

The employer already offer Engineering Maintenance, cleaning, and catering across the customer's estate, consisting of corporate and retail buildings. They also provide a Sustainability service, which includes Energy Optimization of buildings and Waste Management support, in interest of working towards Zero Waste certification on a global basis,

This Zero Waste Advisor is critical to the Waste service delivered, working with the Zero Waste Lead, the wider Sustainability and dedicated Account team, plus customer stakeholders across the world, you will manage and improve data and analytics, deliver insights that will progress the Zero Waste agenda, improve monitoring and report standards and identify opportunities to embed circularity, design out waste and support both employer and Client Zero Waste targets.

This is a fantastic role for a developing Sustainability professional looking to further their knowledge of Waste Management, working for a global firm in a global role

Actions will include:

  • Acting as the Data lead – Support the customer to improve data collection, standardisation and quality. Implement and advise on best practices where applicable. Work with Global Zero Waste Strategy Lead on shared outcomes.
  • Insights and analytics – Map, analyse and interpret waste and circularity data to identify trends and opportunities. Drive the transition to a connected data capability.
  • Strategic ZWTL lead across global account – advise, influence and facilitate changes with core stakeholders i.e. supply chain, landlords, building users and facilities teams.  Develop and support client focussed Zero Waste engagement activities
  • Support and act as SME on the Zero Waste audit and assurance processes. Liaise with external certification bodies – prepare and manage the audit programmes. Undertake internal quarterly audits of performance – request data and audit compliance including waste mapping and end of life evidence on a global scale.
  • Support and advise in-country leads on Zero Waste. Advise on performance and where required. Develop long term trusted relationships across employer, customer and other stakeholders

We need from you:

  • Experience working with global clients in a professional environment
  • Member of a relevant professional organisation i.e. IEMA, CIWM
  • Degree Qualified or equivalent, with 2-5 years experience in commercial / occupier waste and / or circular economy
  • Data solutions experience, advanced Excel, Tableau, Power BI, third party ESG data platforms and data analytics
