Job description

Supervise and Develop a team of Goods Inwards Stores operatives to ensure that all materials are accounted for and securely stored.
Manage and record Material movements for TT10 and PP10.
Responsible to supervise the off loading of all Materials, ensure all materials are goods receipted (GRN SAP) and Located with 24 hours of receipt.
Create and Support the creation of Processes , Risk Assessments etc,. Support the Training plan and ensure all training carried out timely along with daily checks for all equipment used within Stores Function .
The successful candidate will be self-motivated to work with the minimum of supervision, results driven capable of dealing with a dynamic and fluid manufacturing and project orientated environment with the need for innovative solutions.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Supervise  the storage area(s) ,offloading and loading of materials onto various modes of transport.
  • To Supervise, be responsible and accountable for receipt of materials against PO requirements, updating ERP tool in line with GE targets and process.
  • To Supervise , be responsible and accountable for safe and secure storage of materials including identification of locations of all HVDC TT10 Valve Materials and some PP10 Materials
  • To Supervise , be responsible and accountable for all materials movements and the recording of such applying FIFO at all times.
  • Support SQA team with requirements and ensure QM Lot Material (Materials waiting inspection) are segregated. 
  • To supervise , be responsible and accountable for PI (Cycle counting) and full stock checks with accuracy in line with GE requirements and KPI updating ERP system accordingly.
  • To Supervise , be responsible and accountable for line side feed in line with production requirements, identifying at an early stage potential shortages 
  • To Supervise , develop manage and be responsible and accountable for GE  Logistics operatives, ensuring the team’s training needs are met and in line with requirements making use of skills matrix.
  • Support and maintain Roadmap for Logistics.
  • Support Coaching and fully developing team
  • Support , Create, Review and maintain processes within Stores  area to ensure compliance GE requirements
  • Contribute fully to KPI requirements within Stores  Area.
  • Contribute fully towards continuous improvement.
  • Ensure all stores operators  have received correct training, maintaining evidence by way of training log/competency wheels., or similar.
  • Ensuring that the companies EHS policies are communicated, understood and adhered to.
  • Support the action Material deliveries to suppliers and or customer sites
  • Ensure that all team members and visitors adhere in full to EHS requirements
  • Manage Reusable packing, keeping accurate records
  • Responsible for the management and subsequent replenishment of consumable materials used in the Production area
  • Fully Responsible for the management and subsequent replenishment of consumable materials used in the Production area
  • KPI Provide and Support the Data collection within the Manufacturing  function, taking ownership of data to analyse and make proposal for improvements.

Meetings

  • Attend and participate to cross functional meetings as required. Taking full responsibility to ensure that all associated actions allocated to yourself and team are actioned and closed within the defined date.
  • Lead meetings and be responsible for the closure of all actions identified.

Environmental Health & Safety and Quality

  • Ensuring that the Company's quality, environment health & safety policies are read, understood and adhered to within context of role.
  • Support all 5S activities and environmental improvements as required
  • Responsible for Stores Area / Delivery Bay / Offsite storage area and Process, EHS adherence to safe operating procedures.

General

  • Clear Concise communication: Oral and written.
  • Actions completed within defined target dates

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Good general standard of education GCSE level.
  • Proven experience in a similar field with demonstrated experience of leading a team.
  • Proficient in Kanban and Flow / Pull techniques
  • Safe working practices within a working environment (EHS)
  • Co-ordination of resources
  • Mechanical equipment operator certificates
  • Communication at all business levels
  • SAP ERP System management essential
  • Outlook Office applications
  • Multi-functional team working.
  • Problem solving
