Job description

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the implementation and regular testing of a controls framework to monitor and test the ongoing rigor of operational processes
  • Manage the monthly claims risk and governance forum
  • Facilitate audits and reviews of key areas of performance e.g. leakage audits
  • Set up regular testing of our internal BCP plans – recording the outputs and driving action plans to ensure effective planning
  • Responsible for oversight and control of best practice (ensuring effective documentation and signing off of new processes and procedures
  • Work with HOD, management team and risk business partner to ensure risk log is up to date and reflects current challenges/risks – ensure we have robust actions to mitigate any risks identified and then test to ensure they remain robust
  • Facilitate and support the management of audits by line 1b and line 2 – manage any action plans through to completion
  • Co-ordinate audits of suppliers using technical expertise to carry out regular reviews from a process and cost perspective

Skills/Experience required

  • Background in audit/risk preferrable but not essential
  • Able to build robust review plans and ensure these are executed
  • Can work with a range of stakeholders to ensure action plans are delivered
  • Comfortable facilitating meetings
  • Able to use data and insights to spot potential issues and able to build reviews to deep dive into potential risks
  • Knowledge of travel insurance preferable but definitely not essential
