Governance Manager
Circa £55,000 depending on experience
Home-based with occasional travel to Dorchester office
Permanent
Full Time - 37 hours per week

The Governance team is a small group of talented, ambitious colleagues who directly influence, manage, and shape Magna’s governance agenda.
The role & what you take care of:
Supporting the Head of Governance Legal and Risk & Company Secretary in delivering a high-quality governance service, the Governance Manager’s role is to lead the governance team in the implementation and management of Magna’s corporate governance processes to ensure that Magna is compliant with regulatory standards, adopted codes and best practice.

Organise and prepare minutes for Strategic Board, Executive Board, Committee meetings and the AGM. Provide governance advice to the Strategic and Executive Boards.

Manage the development and implementation of the Governance Framework and Compliance Programme and other workstreams in support of the strategy.
*
Implement and manage effective Governance processes to ensure that Magna is compliant with regulatory standards and adopted codes, to ensure the top regulatory rating for governance is maintained.

Assist the Head of Governance, Legal and Risk in providing advice on a broad range of matters to support the Strategic and Executive Boards in fulfilling their duties and meeting compliance obligations.

What you need to be successful:
*
Demonstrable experience of Corporate Governance or Company Secretariat.
*
Significant people management experience.
*
Highly engaging and compelling communication style both verbal and written.
*
Ability to manage multiple deadlines utilising highly effective organisational skills.
*
Collaborative team working enabling all team members to contribute effectively.
*
Experience of managing and maintaining Corporate Governance documents, files and registers and submitting statutory and regulatory returns to FCA, Companies House and other entities.
*
Experience of overseeing and/or monitoring Governance budgets.
*
The post is subject to a basic level DBS check. (Disclosure and Barring Service)
