Leeds

Salary circa £25,000 – Depending on experience.

About the company:


This Building Services specific consultancy are looking for a Graduate Building Physics Engineer to join their Sustainability Engineering team in Leeds. Their foundations are based on strong technical and practical skills developed over many years of providing Mechanical, Electrical, Public Health and Sustainability services to their clients. They’re a well established business with over 2 years experience, 4 offices in the UK and potentially another to be opened in 2024.


As a Graduate Building Physics Engineer, you will work on a variety of projects with a focus on building compliance/energy assessment and Building Physics. A few notable schemes they’ve recently completed is the Nissan N-Vision battery storage plant, the redevelopment of the Olympia in London, numerous leisure centres across the country as well as healthcare and education projects.


Their Sustainability Engineering division has gone from strength to strength over the last 3 years, so they are hoping to grow this offering with a new graduate level members of staff in Leeds. There are around 13 people in the Leeds office with strong plans to grow the area due to the amount of work they have coming into the business.


This businesses staff retention is second to none, they have a very stable pipeline of work on small and large projects, and are hoping to grow their Northern offices even more in the new year. You’ll be exposed to all the latest engineering technologies and software packages, giving you the best chance to grow your career and work towards chartership.


What they are looking for in the successful Graduate Building Physics Engineer:

  • A Building Physics or Building Services or Architectural Engineering degree.
  • Experience using IES, TAS or DesignBuilder.
  • The ability to work well within a team and individually.
  • An understanding of BREEAM and a passion for combating climate change.
  • The desire to progress as an individual within the sustainability environment and help build the sustainability team.
  • Outgoing, motivated and team player attitude.
