Salary Avenue Recruitment are currently seeking a graduate CAD Engineer on a Permanent basis.
As a CAD Engineer, you will be responsible for the creation of electronic drawings to meet our requirements and that of our clients. You will utilise your expertise in CAD software, specifically AutoCAD to transform technical information into detailed 2D engineering drawings. The candidate must have an electrical degree or qualification, mechanical experience will not be considered.
The Role
Create 2D drawings, assemblies and parts using AutoCAD software adhering to design standards and guidelines.
Generate accurate engineering drawings, bills of materials (BOMs), and other technical documentation required for approval and production.
Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to select and source appropriate components and materials.
Participate in technical review meetings.
Maintain accurate records of design iterations, revisions, and project progress.The Candidate
Proven experience as a CAD Engineer or similar role, with expertise in AutoCAD 2D and 3D.
Strong proficiency in design and engineering drawing creation.
A knowledge of both electrical and mechanical engineering is preferable.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively to overcome design challenges.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to work on their own and within a team.
To have effective communication skills, be self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
To have the ability to communicate with clients and customers to resolve any design, drawing issues.
To have the ability to liaise / work within our workshop with the engineers.The ideal candidate will possess a technical background, with an appropriate technical engineering qualifications.
