10.42/hour - 10.42/hour Anne Morgan Jewellery is an award winning contemporary gallery nestled in the beautiful coastal town of Penarth, Vale of Glamorgan.
The gallery has successfully established itself as destination for jewellery lovers, building on its reputation for curating, exhibiting, and championing handmade works by Anne Morgan and other leading jewellery designers from the UK and further afield.
We are seeking to appoint an amazing creative and experienced part time member of staff with a passion for jewellery. The position is for bench work but will also include being involved in sales and admin. Training can be given for this aspect of the role.
The position is for 2 days a week, with 2 Saturdays a month. This can develop into more hours as the candidate increases knowledge and productivity. Experience in retail is preferable. Knowledge of basic jewellery making processes is essential as the start of this position is on the bench. Advanced training will be given in the workshop.

We’re looking for a bright, energetic and motivated individual with a passion for the contemporary jewellery to work in our Multi award winning boutique in Penarth- South Wales. We are the only Contemporary Jewellery Gallery in South East Wales and we pride ourselves on creating unique jewellery that can’t be found on the High Street.
Summary of role and responsibilities:
Small repairs and bespoke commissions as well as making Anne’s collections.
To include: soldering, forming, making bezel settings, filing and finishing and polishing castings and basic stone setting skills are required.
- Prior knowledge of jewellery, metals, diamonds and gemstones would be essential but training can be given.
It will be necessary to take on roles within the retail aspect of the business therefore excellent customer service and interpersonal skills are required–general queries via email, telephone and face to face
Evidence of social media competency
Available for Saturday work.
A basic/good level of computer skills essential. Good academic competence needed. This role is for those educated to degree level.
Very good written and spoken English is essential.
The right candidate will need to be able to liaise in a proactive and clear way with the ability to communicate with other team members making sure that all aspects of the jobs are completed to a very high standard and to a deadline.
Maintain a friendly and on-going relationship with our customers creating a strong ethos and brand awareness and knowledge- be an ambassador for the Anne Morgan Jewellery brand.
Good administrate skills to include an understanding of inventory management and experience with inventory programs- This will include logging customer’s jobs and commissions updating them and emailing estimates for commissions.
A flexible approach to working hours, as additional hours, may be required to cover staff holidays and busy/seasonal periods.
