£31,000 plus £2,000 one off Joining Fee

The Recruitment Bunker are recruiting exclusively for a Graduate Electronics Engineer to join our client. The key purpose of the role will be to develop Electronic and Electrical systems and follow specifications from customer requirements.

Overview of the Role

  • Graduate Electronics Engineer
  • Salary - £31,000 plus a £2,000 one off joining fee
  • Holidays: 25 days plus 8 Bank Holidays

Responsibilities

  • Company Policies: Manage and follow the quality, health, safety, and welfare policies of the company
  • Work Closely as part of the electronics systems team to develop high quality cost effective electronic/electrical systems
  • Develop Electronic and Electrical systems
  • Develop new analogue and digital electronics for embedded control systems
  • Develop new embedded control systems software for 32-bit microcontrollers.
  • Debug new and existing electronic/electrical systems in product and in development environment
  • Design and develop electrical systems including power management and distribution
  • Support idea generation and problem resolution through day-to-day working and structured Design Reviews
  • Work closely with Engineering Analysts (FEA)/ Engineering team to meet design targets and drive the most cost-effective solutions
  • Work closely with Manufacturing to agree feasible manufacturing solutions and to control the engineering change process
  • Communicate with your Lead Engineer to ensure you have the necessary level of support and help when required
  • PCB Layout and design
  • Electrical system design and build
  • Full cycle product design and support
  • Manage documentation as part of change management process for existing systems
  • Specify test plans for developed systems
  • Complete design verification and function sign off in line with project deadlines.


Essential Skills

  • Electronics/Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent within a relevant subject
  • Analogue and digital electronics design
  • Familiar with 32-bit processors/micro-controllers
  • C / C++
  • A good technical understanding of electrical / electronic systems
  • Analytical and logical mind with numeracy and literacy skills
  • Use of Microsoft packages – Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written
  • Engineering design knowledge
  • Understanding importance of engineering change requests
  • Excels in organisational skills and time management
  • A drive to learn and improve at every opportunity
  • Professional attitude and ability to work in multi-discipline teams
  • Discipline to follow technical and administrational procedures


Desirable Skills

  • Master’s degree
  • Industry Experience
  • Microchip PIC/ ARM cortex processors and development toolchain
  • Understanding of CAD and CAE Literacy
  • Familiar with communication buses (CAN, LIN, I2C, SPI, etc.)
  • Designing to MISRA guidelines
  • Matlab/Simulink/Stateflow trained
  • Python
  • Understanding of PCB Design and layout
  • Awareness of ISO26262
