Climate17 are working with a leading organisation focused on supporting the development of multiple district heating schemes across the UK.
Our client is looking to add a Graduate Environmental Consultant to join their growing and well-established team. As a specialist energy and environment consultancy they endeavour to make sure that every new building is good for people and good for the planet. Responsibilities:
Delivery of technical project work in several consultancy services, including BREEAM, Home Quality Mark and CEEQUAL, sustainability statements, health impact assessments and climate change adaptation assessments.Delivery of technical project work on wider energy and sustainability services as required by the company.Developing awareness and technical knowledge of legislation, policies, and regulations relevant to the role including the Building Regulations, national and local planning policy, industry codes, standards and guidelines and the Construction Design and Management Regulations.Achieve learning status in selected service areas and work towards applying status as defined in the company Skills Matrix.Attend and participate in the delivery of project meetings and workshops as required (both internal and external).Apply a range of problem-solving skills to enable the successful delivery of project work.Strong report writing and presentation skills.Aim to lead and develop services using creative and strategic thinking skills.Research as required in the delivery of technical services.Requirements:
Good organisational skills to effectively plan and deliver work on time, budget and to meet client requirements, including shadowing of project management delivered by others as well as project managing simple projects.Support project managers as a member of their project team including taking minutes, coordinating meetings, and updating project plans.Effective use of internal project management systems and software.Time management, including effective communication with colleagues, use of internal reporting systems and planning to achieve target recover ability.Ensuring the necessary information needed for project work and/or technical reports is collected, reviewed, and understood, including learning, and applying the effective use of client document sharing portals.Business development and client relationships
Direct communication with clients and other consultants on active projects.Preparation of simple proposals.Learn and develop knowledge of wider company services.Learn delivery of client-facing business development meetings, training, and presentations appropriate to the role through shadowing and/or supported delivery.Management & Personal Development
Targeted training against service requirements (on-the-job and/or external training as required).Undertake CDM Designer Training and development of awareness of health and safety issues.Record and document training to begin the professional institution membership process.About Us
