AddressGraduate Geotechnical / Geoenvironmental Engineer
Job Introduction
We are looking for a highly motivated and versatile individual to provide support to our team of project geologists and geo environmental engineers as a Graduate Geologist or Geotechnical / Geoenvironmental Engineer in our team based in Peterborough.
Role Responsibility
- Carry out and supervise the company’s fieldwork operations
- Assist project and senior staff in data and report preparation
- Organise and coordinate project resources, including suppliers and subcontractors, to enable efficient timescales
- Demonstrate an understanding of project objectives and rationale
- Use software and technical guidance documents for the assessment of data to determine the required outcome for the project or assignment
- Adhere to high Health and Safety standards, in line with Company procedures
- Commitment to develop personal CPD
- Develop your working knowledge of relevant geo-environmental legislation, standards and guidance
- Develop your working knowledge of the design of conceptual models and thought
- Professional communication with colleagues and all stakeholders
- Site evaluation for tender and desk study purposes
The Ideal Candidate
- Bachelor's degree in geology, or geoenvironmental related qualification
- A good understanding of UK geology and geographical awareness
- Administration skills - ability to input, extract, interpret and record information from computerised information sources
- Clear written and oral communication skills
- Excellent organisational skills
- A proactive approach to problem solving and customer care
- Ability to work calmly and accurately under pressure
- Flexible working as determined by the requirements of the company, with travel around the UK, often with extended hours (overtime will be paid)
- Full UK driving licence
