If you are looking to work for a leading supplier to the Aerospace & Automotive industry, working on cutting edge designs, in a collaborative and team focused environment then look no further.
Working within the Product Design team your key focus will be the realisation of new product from the concept designs prepared by the application Engineers to the detailed definitions to allow successful manufacture and assembly. You will gain exposure within Design, tooling, calculations, metrology through to manufacturing plant capabilities with potential to progress either within this function or others such as Manufacturing Engineering, Quality and R&D.
Knowledge/Skills and Experience:
- MEng preferred or BEng with a 1st, in a STEM subject such as Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering etc with a strong academic core
- Proficient in the use of 3D CAD software, SolidWorks is preferred but not essential.
- Knowledge of Mechanical Design of Rotating Equipment and Production Technologies (Turning, Milling, Grinding, Precision Metrology, etc.) methods and application would be beneficial.
- Analytical tools, statistical methods and problem-solving techniques (e.g. 6 Sigma, 8D)
- An ability to adapt quickly, applying fundamental knowledge to new challenges.
- Excellent communication skills, written, verbal and presentation.
