Graduate Mechanical Engineer or Electrical Engineer

Graduate Mechanical Engineer who has at least a HND in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or equivalent with excellent problem-solving skills and an acute attention to detail is required to join our team at Russell Roof Tiles in Burton-on-Trent, Staffordshire, West Midlands, DE14 2AW
SALARY: £31,000 - £35,000 per annum (depending on experience) + Bonus + Benefits (see below)

Your time spent as a Graduate Mechanical Engineer will be a full hands-on role, where the successful applicant will be required to use their full mechanical / electrical knowledge and ability in order to help improve our production processes.
As a successful candidate you will join a programme which will provide you with on-the-job training and mentoring to bridge any gaps in your skills set and will enable you to develop people management skills including team-working, leadership and communication, project management, negotiation, continuous improvement, health and safety and an understanding of business finance and budgets.
About Russell Roof Tiles
Owned by Russell Building Products Ltd, the Company has over 130 years industry experience of manufacturing an extensive range of innovative concrete roof tiles and fittings which are suitable for both commercial and housing projects. We are actively seeking new employees to work on our new £18.5m state-of-art roof tile production line, and this role is key in this objective.

DUTIES
Once trained your duties as the Graduate Mechanical Engineer include:
• Daily efficiency outputs of relevant production lines
• Close liaison between Production, Maintenance and Quality teams
• Safety Health & Environment operational compliance
• Continual plant and equipment development through PPM’s and Strategic improvements
• Carry out maintenance skills and undertake maintenance repair activities
• Conduct a root cause analysis, fault finding and diagnostics of issues to ensure plant reliability
• Carrying out any other ad hoc projects as required by Production
