We are seeking a dynamic team member to support our production development team with the automation and enhancement of our organisational processes. As a Graduate Platform Engineer at SecureCloud+, you will play a crucial role in collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and integrate automation solutions into our service operations functions.
Role Responsibilities
Key responsibilities for this role may include but are not limited to:
- Assist in the design, implementation, and optimization of platform infrastructure components.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including software engineers, DevOps engineers, and system administrators to ensure seamless integration and deployment of applications.
- Work closely with the production development team to understand process requirements and identify automation opportunities.
- Contribute to the automation of infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and deployment processes.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues proactively to ensure high availability and reliability of the platform.
- Conduct testing and debugging of automation programs to ensure reliability and efficiency.
- Gather feedback from cross-functional teams and continuously improve automation solutions.
- Participate in the evaluation and adoption of new technologies and tools to enhance platform scalability, security, and performance.
- Document infrastructure configurations, processes, and best practices for knowledge sharing and system integrity maintenance.
- Contribute to ongoing projects and initiatives aimed at improving platform architecture and operational efficiency.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices in automation and programming.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and security protocols while handling sensitive data and systems.
Education and Experience Requirements
As the Graduate Platform Engineer, you will have:
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Strong proficiency in Python programming language.
- Familiarity with database management systems (e.g., SQL, MySQL, MongoDB) and database design principles.
- High computer literacy and proficiency in using various software applications and tools.
- Understanding of data structures and algorithms.
- Basic knowledge of network infrastructure concepts and protocols.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to prioritise tasks, manage time efficiently, and meet deadlines.
- Experience with automation tools or frameworks (e.g., Ansible, Terraform).
UK Security Check (SC) clearance is required for this position. Candidates must possess or be eligible to obtain SC clearance.
